I meant to write this post awhile ago-story of my life.
Before we got out for Christmas vacation we made snowflakes for the school that the Sandy Hook students would be returning to. I had come across something on facebook that Thursday night before our last day before break and knew we wanted to contribute. The idea was that when the Sandy Hook students returned after the break to a new school they would be greeted with LOTS of snowflakes to give them some comfort from a tragic situation they had to endure. I will be interested to know how many snowflakes were sent in all.
If you are wondering why I have such a small class (wouldn’t that be a nice number?), it’s because we made these on our 1/2 day Friday before the break. Obviously, some students went ahead and started their break early.
Were you involved in this awesome project?

Your kids did an amazing job! My family and I sent 26 snowflakes, one to honor each of the victims. Mine weren’t quite as fancy as the ones my teens did with their exacto knives, but I suppose they added cheer just the same.

Barbara,
That was sweet to do as a family! I bet all of you had a lot of grateful feelings that ALL of you were able to do that.
