PR, BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
32:55
Ran this 5k with my brother in Georgia. He stuck with me since he was running on an injured knee, otherwise he would have been waaaaay ahead of me!
I actually thought I was going to throw up and faint on this 5k. Want to know why?
Because I have NOT been running consistently like I used to. I can feel it. It makes such a difference to run on a regular basis. π
Notice the time behind us? That’s how long it took me to get back up off the steps to come and get the picture made after finishing the race!!!
Next 5k coming up:
THE COLOR RUN IN BIRMINGHAM, ALABAMA THIS MONDAY ON LABOR DAY!
Can’t wait!
Way to go, girl!! Congrats on the PR! I am itching sooo badly for a 5k PR right now…but I am a baby about Speedwork! No worries about your collapsing on the steps after your race…I physically laid down on the track in between sprint laps last night… Good thing I was the only one around!!
Amy,
LOL! I need to do some speedwork, hills, etc. Right now I just lace up and run with no real purpose in mind!
Awww! You look so cute! One of these days we need to meet up for a race. I would love to run with you! Have fun on your color run!
Libby,
We had a blast on the color run! Yes, we do need to run together sometime. Hmmmm….we can think on that one!
Great job on your PR! It’s always nice to have someone to run with and it’s even better when it’s someone very special!
Rockin’ Mom-
You are so right!! π
Congrats on the PR! I found your blog through JuiceBoxes and Crayolas blog. Have fun in the Color Run tomorrow! I did it in Philadelphia in July – it definitely is something I won’t forget! I highly recommend wearing a bandana as the color can really make you cough while running.
Erin-
We wore our bandanas proudly!! It was so much fun!! π
I so need to run another 5K, I like to think of myself as a runner…. ahhh NOT!!! LOL
Karla,
Lately I’ve become a “casual” runner just trying to fit it in because of this crazy life of mine! π
