Just Listen by Sarah Dessen Book Review

Just ListenJust Listen by Sarah Dessen

Goodreads Summary:

Last year, Annabel was “the girl who has everything” — at least that’s the part she played in the television commercial for Kopf’s Department Store.

This year, she’s the girl who has nothing: no best friend because mean-but-exciting Sophie dropped her, no peace at home since her older sister became anorexic, and no one to sit with at lunch. Until she meets Owen Armstrong.

Tall, dark, and music-obsessed, Owen is a reformed bad boy with a commitment to truth-telling. With Owen’s help, maybe Annabel can face what happened the night she and Sophie stopped being friends.

My Thoughts:

I need all of Sarah Dessen’s books. Like right now. Before spring break. 🙂

Written for young adults yet oldies like me enjoy them, too.

She’s an amazing author with a knack for writing about the young years.

Mesmerizing. Honest. Sometimes painful. Real.

Yep, loved it!

  1. I’ve always wanted to read aSarah Dessen book, so I’m glad to hear her books areenjoyable! Would you think a 9th grade student would like them as well? I’m always looking to stock up.

    • Amanda, 9th graders will most definitely like them!! Just Listen was very wholesome, but Along For the Ride mentioned sex-GASP! The ones I’ve read so far are geared toward young adult. My 5/6graders don’t read them. 🙂 Your girls will like them- not boys.

I love hearing from you. Let's have a conversation!
