    • Amy-

I need to be reading it, too, and my phone has me in its grips!! 🙂

I’m hoping to make the chat, but it’s dependent on if my husband is sleeping as normal for his night shift!

      Sleep, Joe, sleep! 🙂

    • Tara,

I lurked during the twitter chat tonight. I’m not sure my kids are up for finding details and then stating ideas from those details.

I might hold off until after Christmas- I’m starting the signposts this week-hopefully! 🙂

  1. If you are interested in another text about close reading…check out Notice and Note. It’s written by Myleen Beers and Robert Probst. Also published by Heinemann.

    • Eileen,

I’ve got it-actually hosted a twitter chat this summer on it, but JUST now going to implement it in classroom. 🙂 I’m SO overwhelmed this year with teaching all subjects and LIFE! 🙂

    • My next one is going to be Patrick Allen’s Conferring book. And maybe I need to read one in small group reading instruction in the upper grades!

      • I have just come to the conclusion that my fourth graders need MORE small group to really catch those kids who don’t get skills in whole group. I need more day!

      • I need more day, too!! Maybe instead of daylight savings time, we need teacher savings time- add 2 hours to the day! 🙂

I love hearing from you. Let's have a conversation!
