Changing our mindsets about technology

Technology is here to stay in our world, and we need to embrace it in our classrooms. Here’s an article with some tips for teachers who use technology-or actually who teach students how to use technology. 🙂

  1. So very true, Shannon! It’s really hard to remember what my room was like before I made the switch to having a 21st Century classroom. I love being non-traditional in my practices and so do my students.

    • Alison,
students are so used to just waiting on the teaching to begin-very passive. We have made them this way. I want to help them become independent and self-motivated learners, and it seems that technology is a good way to accomplish this. I hope. 🙂

  2. Hi Shannon. 200 books – that is impressive!
Any way, my kids are 24, 22 and 20 – they pretty much prefer money and gift cards. Any time, I try to buy clothes, etc., they’re not good enough….
Thanks for leaving a comment on my blog – I love to know that people are reading what I write. I tell the other teachers at my school to write, but they always say, “My life is too boring.”
That must mean that we have very exciting lives since we blog!

    • Susan,

YES we must! LOL! I think I’m addicted to blogging and reading blogs. I’ve found so many great ideas for my classroom, and writing posts is my way of reflecting on my practice! 🙂

I love hearing from you. Let's have a conversation!
