Full of energy-hope it lasts!

So after 2 days of not being able to run more than 1.5 miles without stopping and walking-I’m baaaaaackkkk!!!!

Ran 3 miles after school. Jogged/walked 2 miles with a friend for her couch25k training. 1 hour of zumba. Quick ab workout.

I am super happy at this moment!!!!

I’m now down to 139 pounds from 163 since I started on around January 1st. I’ll be taking some more progress pictures in the next few weeks if I continue to lose and posting them on here. I’ll do my measurements, too, and update that. I feel so good!!! 🙂

Did it!!

I actually ran (jogged) 3.2 miles without stopping last Friday, then 3.4 miles Monday, and 3.4 miles yesterday!!!

Thank you Couch25k!!! You helped me get to this point! I never would have believed it at the beginning. I couldn’t even jog 1/4 of the way around the school track without feeling like I was going to puke! 🙂

I am loving life!!! I LOVE TO RUN!!

Today I walked 5 miles to sort of rest before my 1st 5k this Saturday! Yippee!!

Oh yeah, I have lost 20 pounds so far-hope to lose many more! I feel so good!

This week would have been week 8 of the 9 week program, but stopped the program and am now just running the whole time! 🙂

Oh yeah, the 20 minute jog

COUCH25K-Week 5-DAY 3

This was the day of the 20 minute jog (without stopping) that had butterflies in my stomach all day leading up to it! 🙂 I knew that if I couldn’t do it I would just reattempt it until I could. It’s not like the Couch25k Police were going to come and get me! But I REALLY wanted to be able to do it! AND I DID!!! I’m super pumped now and feel as if I am on top of the world! 🙂

Now I can’t wait to start week 6!

And after that 20 minute jog, I still went to a 2 hour zumba master class!!! It was a great Friday!

I am the 1st one on the back row. The one who’s head looks like  a football helmet because of the sweat! 🙂

Couch25k-Week 5-Day 2

I did it. I jogged for 8 minutes WITHOUT stopping! 🙂 So the training today looked like this:

1. 5 minute warmup walk

2. 8 minute jog

3. 5 minute walk

4. 8 minute jog

5. 5 minute cool down

That 2nd interval of 8 minutes was a teensy tiny bit difficult. 🙂 But I did it. Then I kept walking around the track to get to a total of 3 miles in 43 minutes.

So tomorrow will be where the big dogs get separated from the puppies. A 20 minute jog without stopping. Hmmmm. Not sure about this yet. 🙂

If you don’t hear from me in a few days you might need to send out the search and rescue team!!! To find my body!! 🙂

14 pounds down!!!

I have lost a total of 14 pounds since December 27th when I started exercising! Woohoo! 🙂

3 pounds in the last week!

I’m on week 5 of the couch25k program. Today was Day1 with jogging intervals of 5 minutes each. The 2nd day will be intervals of 8 minutes. Then the 3rd day will be 20 minutes. WHAT THE?????? From 5 to 8 to 20? Did someone  with a math disability figure this one??? You’re telling me I have to go from 5 to 8 to 20? All I can say is-I’ll try! 🙂

Tonight I was going to start my little strength training exercises at home, but I’m thinking I’ll start tomorrow. When I feel better. 🙂

The good, the bad, and the ugly

Monday, January 16, 2012

I really don’t know why I’m naming this post-The good, the bad, and the ugly. But it is sort of catchy isn’t it? 🙂

Every Monday I’m going to “try” and post my stats. Key word being “try”.

I have been weighing myself for 2 weeks now, but had not measured anything since this past summer. So here’s the good, bad, and ugly!

Before starting training-163 lbs

After week 1-160 lbs

After week 2-157 lbs

Woohoo!! 🙂

  Summer                                   End of week 2

Neck                               14                                                 13 1/2

Chest                              38                                                 37

Waist                              36 3/4                                        34

Hips                                42 1/2                                        42

Thighs                         R-21 1/2 L-20 3/4                   R-21 1/4 L-21 (WTH?)

Top of thigh              R-24 1/2                                      L-24 1/2

Calves                         R-16 3/4 L-16 1/2                    R-15 1/2 L-15 1/4

Hopefully, these are accurate numbers. The summer numbers were measured by one of my friends, and I tried to measure the same way this time. Now let’s categorize.

The good-Check out the waist measurement!!!! Over 2 inches! Really? 🙂

The bad-Why would my hips have only lost 1/2 an inch when they are SO INVOLVED when I jog/walk??

The ugly-WTH is going on with my right thigh??? Is the food that I am eating landing there? 🙂 Seriously, my right thigh is BIGGER than it was before I started training. OK-I’m just going to say that the measurement was messed up from this summer. 🙂

I might make a spreadsheet to keep up with my measurements. I think that would be easy to add to and to see changes.

I’ve been keeping up with my exercise on Daily Mile.I love this site. It keeps up with your stats for the week and everything in the past, too. You can also add friends and chat with them. Great motivator! You can join challenges, too. Super site and very user friendly!!

My total miles for last week-16 This does not include the hour of zumba!

My total miles this year-29.5

So what are your stats for last week? This year?

I’m feeling pretty good about everything so far. Just wondering when the soreness goes away. 🙂
